Fay Buurman is a Dutch         Multidisciplinary Designer
 currently studying Graphic Design at ArtEZ Arnhem.

    With an interest in textiles, craft, and the             intersection of      
  analog and digital processes.

Rooted in an admiration
for hands-on practices,
Fay’s work explores the unpredictable beauty of materiality,light, and sound, often integrating performative and experimental elements.


Fay’s projects question what is human, mundane,
or divine in the creative process.

    * Op Treden
    2024


     Op Treden is a roughly 5-minute short film about the staircase.
     It is written as an introspective essay and a love letter 
    about the structure of the staircase. 

    Raising the question why we feel the need to 
                                                          constantly move up, 
                           as humankind is designed for the ground. 
               Alongside historical, cultural and personal anecdotes 
    this video dissects and disombodies the fimiliar structure 
    of the staircase.
